Given the reception from the “MPLS” Nike Air Zoom Generation we mocked up earlier this week, we figured we’d keep things going with more Laker-inspired LeBron retros.
This time we’re tackling the Nike Zoom LeBron II, and once again, we’re taking cues from a Kobe Bryant signature, the “Orca” Nike Zoom Kobe II.
Reaching back to before Kobe shook the basketball signature world by switching to low-tops, the Nike Zoom Kobe II was the one and only silhouette from his line to ever don a strap, so it made for a perfect pairing with the Nike Zoom LeBron II.
We held strictly to the color-blocking of the Kobe, with purple holding court toward the bottom of the sneaker, white leather bringing up the rear, with hits of black patent leather where you’d normally find smooth leather on the LeBron II.
Check it out for yourself down below and stay tuned for more “Laker” looks of LeBron James’ past signatures.
