Vans Vault and WTAPS reunite for an exclusive footwear and apparel capsule that pairs Japanese craftsmanship with a series of the California skate brand’s timeless silhouettes. Merging the elements of tradition with contemporary design details, the Sk8-Hi features two renditions with a tonal suede and canvas makeup – each of which are stamped with orange or blue flame accents on the quarter-panel.
Referencing one of the duo’s previous Sk8-Hi collaborations, two OG Old Skools are presented with the same suede construction that also showcases the same olive tones on one, while the other sports navy blue accents. Each is blocked with an off-white white midsole and jazz stripe for a heritage appeal.
The OG Half-Cab LX is designed with charcoal suede accents that are contrasted with a grey digi-camo pattern throughout the toe and quarter. Additionally, two iterations of the Classic Era LX emerge with a crocodile pattern on the quarter-panel, while each is blocked with a black suede toe and heel, while the midsole matches accordingly.
An apparel collection also matches the footwear motif, including similar colorways and patterns that are printed with phrases like, “Waffle Lovers Club” throughout.
The WTAPS x Vans Vault Collection is expected to release before the end of July, so stay tuned with Nice Kicks for official details.
