After teaming up on the New Balance 992 last year, Japanese label WTAPS and New Balance are joining forces again, this time on the 990v2 dropping later this week.
The collaborative sneaker comes in a tonal grey, with a mesh base and slightly different shades of grey on most of the overlays. The tongue, ankle, and heel overlays are seen in a faux-crocodile skin, with the N logo stitched in metallic silver. “USA” is debossed in on the lateral heel with WTAPS stitched in the heel logo. The tonal look continues down into the midsole, which features a slate grey on the stabilizer and cushioning unit. Lastly, a black rubber outsole finishes off the sneaker.
The WTAPS x New Balance 990v2 is set to drop on September 3rd on Newbalance.com as well as select WTAPS retailers with a price tag of $259.99. Check out the photos below and stay tuned to our Sneaker Release Dates page for any updates
