For more than two decades, the collaboration between adidas and Yohji Yamamoto has been at the forefront of avant-garde sportswear. For its latest batch of innovative designs, Y-3 unveils Chapter 3 of its Fall/Winter 2023 Collection.

The collection showcases the Y-3 CENTENNIAL HI and Y-3 CENTENNIAL LO, reimagining quintessential athletic footwear silhouettes with elevated material craftsmanship. The collection also boasts a continuation of the label’s exploration of signature adidas Originals archival silhouettes, breathing new life into the Y-3 SUPERSTAR, Y-3 MARATHON TR, and Y-3 GAZELLE.

As for apparel, Chapter 3 draws inspiration from adidas’ iconic sporting heritage. The collection evolves the collegiate motifs of previous seasons introducing varsity-style lettering graces jackets, t-shirts, and hoodies, intricately applied through kettle stitch embroidery, chenille patches, puff prints, and engineered knits. In addition, a carefully curated range of quilted pieces, inspired by the adidas Originals Aloxe tracksuit, enhances the collection with jackets, vests, skirts, and pants.

The campaign for Y-3 Fall Winter 23 Chapter 3 was captures the essence of Y-3’s daring spirit that merges art, music, and fashion together. Photographer Lengua and motion director Thyago Sainte worked together on the campaign with captivating stills and moving images that feature an enigmatic cast of artists who call Berlin home. Genre-bending artists like Nigerian-born producer, singer, and songwriter LA Timpa, cult British musician, rapper, and producer Tricky, eclectic DJ and experimental musician Mobile Girl, Korean producer and DJ Tobias aka Why Be, trailblazing artist, designer, and musician Bill Kouligas, and formidable DJ duo and co-founders of Kontinuum Productions, Dimitra and Soraya.
