Takashi Murakami is one of the many contemporary artists who have revolutionized our understanding of art and pop-culture. The Japanese artist is known for his colorful style and masterpieces. Earlier this week, Murakami and Off-White’s Virgil Abloh linked up and debuted their “Future History” exhibit at the Gagosian Gallery in London.
As a celebratory gift, Murakami received a one of a kind mask from Zhijun Wang. If you’re familiar with Wang’s work, you’re well aware of the authenticity and style that goes into each and every mask of his. On his newest one of a kind mask, Wang honors both Murakami and Abloh’s success in pop-culture and art with the mask. Inspired by the Off-White Air Jordan 1, Wang also pays homage to Murakami by adding pieces from his collaboration with Louis Vuitton.
Take a look at the one of a kind mask below including a few pictures of Murakami himself rocking the mask at the exhibit. Be sure to follow Zhijun Wang here for more fire content. Let us know what you think of the mask in the comments below.
