Last week we gave you a first look at the latest model from New Balance, the New Balance 993. The shoe is an updated version of the famed New Balance 992 that has become a staple item in shoe stores since it was first introduced in 2006. The New Balance 993 approaches closer to crafted perfection with the incorporation of new technologies including an ACTEVA?? midsole for unbelievable comfort and DTS in the heel to provide a softer heel strike. The shoe also has improved heel-to-toe transition and forefoot flexibility and is lighter in weight.

Just like the 992, the New Balance 993 is produced in their domestic facilities. New Balance has long built a great reputation for its commitment to American labor and this is called out with a “USA” stitched on the heel.

Take a look at a visual comparison between the New Balance 992 and 993 after the jump. The New Balance 993 is available now at retailers nationwide.
